Angel candle case type 1
Holding a flame is among the oldest tasks given to angels in Christian art. They appear at Christ's tomb at dawn, at the side of saints at the moment of vision, before altars where the eucharistic candles burn. The candle they bear is not light for the sake of light but a sign that the divine is present — a thin, steady visibility of the invisible. A candle-bearing angel in the home draws the same lineage forward, marking quiet hours with a hint of vigil.
