Olympic Gods
Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt
Twin sister of Apollo, Artemis was the virgin goddess of the hunt, wilderness, the moon, and chastity — protector of young women and wild animals alike. She roamed the forests with her silver bow and a band of nymphs, swift, fierce, and uncompromising. Her great temple at Ephesus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and to this day she remains the most beloved Olympian among those who honour independence, the natural world, and unbroken sovereignty over one's own life.
