Ares, God of War

Ares embodied the raw fury and bloodshed of battle — the violent, untamed face of war that Athena's strategy could never fully contain. Worshipped especially in Sparta and Thrace, he was feared more than loved, his presence summoning the chaos of combat. Yet in his union with Aphrodite he produced Eros, Phobos, Deimos, and Harmonia — a reminder that even from violence the Greeks drew the paradoxes of love, terror, and beauty.
