Angel sleeping right view statue
The right-side companion to the sleeping angel completes a pair, much like the slumbering cherubs of Raphael's Sistine Madonna. Across Renaissance and Baroque painting, sleeping angels are reminders that watchfulness in the divine economy is not a uniform vigilance but a rhythm — one cherub awake while another rests, the choir of heaven taking its turn at song and its turn at silence. The two views together suggest the same kind of relay, where care never sleeps entirely though each carer might.
